Ball Handling-Group 1

Triple Threat Position
-Balanced athletic position.
-Basketball at waist level of the shooting hand.
-Hands positioned to be able to shoot.
-Feet shoulder width apart.
-Head Up.











Stationary Ball Handling
-Start from the triple threat position.
-Hand pushes the ball downward with wrist movement. Do not slap the ball.
-Use both hands equally when you are practicing.









-Use the final joint where the fingerprints are to control the basketball.
-Keep your fingers spread. Having your fingers too close together is like you're not using five fingers to control the ball.







-Keep the dribble at waist level.







-Keep your head up.









Dribbling in a Linear Path
-Hand placement slightly back, not on top to adjust for the forward movement.
-Hand pushed through the ball with downward wrist movement.
-Dribble no higher than waist.
-Dribble to the side not directly in front of your feet.
