Pivoting
-The pivot foot is the foot that must maintain contact with the floor. It cannot be dragged across the floor.
-The other foot is the swing foot and can move.
-The pivot foot is established as the first foot to hit the floor if you catch the ball while moving or the foot that is in contact with the floor when you pick up your dribble.
-If both are making contact when you pick up your dribble or catch the ball than either foot can be the pivot foot.
Forward Pivot
-When the pivoting player moves their swing foot forward this is a forward pivot.
Reverse Pivot
-When the pivoting player moves their swing foot backward this is a reverse pivot.
