Passing-Group 2

Fake a Pass/Make a Pass
-Faking a pass before making a real pass moves the defender out of position and opens a clear lane to your teammate.
-Read where the defender holds their hands.
-If their hands are low, fake high toward their head or shoulders. If their hands are high, fake low toward their hips.
-Use your eyes, head bobs, or a sharp step in the fake direction to make the defender react. Do not stare directly at your real target.
-Deliver the real pass instantly once the defender shifts their weight or moves their hands.
-Keep two hands firmly on the ball during the fake so you can pull it back and redirect it without losing control.

Using Pivots to Create Passing Lanes
-Use a jump stop whenever possible to be able to choose your pivot foot and give yourself more options to create passing lanes.
-Use the front reverse pivot to move your body.
-Use your arms and reach around the defense. Not every pass needs to be made from between the shoulders.
