Wrap Pass
-Set your base. Start in a low athletic stance with one foot planted as your pivot foot.
-Protect the ball. Keep the ball shielded using your body and bring it toward your outside hip
-Step around. Take a wide step with your non-pivot foot around the defender’s leg or hip, aiming to place your hip next to theirs. Left hip to left hip or right to right.
-Extend and release. Use the hand farthest from the defender to push or bounce the ball past their hip level, finishing with a quick wrist snap.
Post Entry
-Use the previously discussed techniques in Using Pivots Create Passing Lanes and the Fake a Pass/Make a Pass sections (Group 2) to get a pass to the post player.
-Read the defense. Look at where the defender is playing. If the defender is on the high side, throw a bounce pass to the baseline side. If the defender is playing low, throw a pass or lob pass.
-Pass to the target hand that your teammate presents away from the defense, typically keeping the pass low so they can catch, chin, and protect the ball.
