Perimeter Moves-Group 3

Shot Fake & Drive
-Catch the ball with balanced footwork (left-right, right-left, or a hop) and keep your knees bent.
-Lift your eyes, head, and the ball toward the basket just like you are rising up to shoot.
-Do not stand straight up; keep your lower body flexed so you remain explosive.
-As the defender reacts or leaves their feet, rip the ball low and tight across your body.
-Explode past the defender by taking a long, low, and straight step toward the basket in the opposite direction of their momentum.
-If the defender stays disciplined and doesn't jump, use your loaded stance to step around them or pull up for a short jumper.

Drive-Step Back-Drive
-Take one or two hard, aggressive dribbles toward the basket to force the defender backward.
-Lower your center of gravity on the last hard dribble to completely sell the drive.
-Firmly plant your lead foot (the foot closest to the basket) to stop your momentum.
-Violently push off that front foot and hop or step backward while gathering the ball into your shooting pocket.
-Force the defender to lunge forward or raise their hands to contest the expected shot.
-The moment the defender shifts their weight or bites on the fake, drop your center of gravity and drive past them.
-Take one or two powerful, low dribbles max to get downhill and finish at the rim before the defense recovers.
