The Press Break is the same play as our zone offense THREE GUARD
We are just extending the play full court
To get open and get the ball inbounded
The guards line up on the elbow
The #2 sets a pick for #1
#1 cuts to the ball
#2 rolls back to the ball looking for a pass
If they are not denying the inbound pass, then we don't need the pick
The picture above shows what happens if we cannot get the ball inbounded to either guard
The weak side forward flashes to the top of the key
The forward passes to the guards on either side of them
When we get the ball inbounded to #1, #2 spreads out to make room for #3 to come on the court
If you see this looks exactly like THREE GUARD
The weak side forward flashes to the middle
#3 stays behind the ball
When we throw the ball to #5, they look opposite
#2 should be flying up the sideline
We do not want to get the ball to the middle and then have to pass backward
