Screening-Group 5

Bump Screen

-This occurs when two players have set a stagger screen. 

Floppy Screen

-The shooter dives to the basket and hesitates under the rim. Two players set a double screen on one side of the lane, while one player sets a single down screen on the other side. The shooter may decide to cut to the perimeter off of either screen.

Hammer Screen

-The hammer screen is a variation of the back screen and involves a player setting a screen on the weak side of the court which allows their teammate to cut to the corner for an open shot. This is a great basketball screen to get shooters open as it often catches the defense unaware.

Hawk Screen

-The hawk screen is the player who sets the screen a UCLA cut follows it by setting an on the ball screen.

New York Screen

-The ball is at the top of the key. The wing cuts toward the basket while the post player steps off the lane to set screen for the shooter to cut over the top toward the ball.

Oklahoma Screen

-After 2 and 5 set double ballscreens for 1, the second screener (5) sets a screen for the first screener (2) to come back towards the ballhandler.

Post Back Screen

-The low post from the weak-side sets a screen for the high post to cut to the opposite side of the basket.
